Messier

Messier

BACKGROUND

Messier is a pioneering mobile app empowering individuals and teams to build a daily creative habit through engaging five-minute exercises called "Moments". While there are an abundance of apps in the wellness and productivity space, the Messier team realized a gap in the market for establishing a consistent creative practice. To reinforce the importance of creative well-being, Messier's  team of Scientific Advisors provide data-driven insights promoting the positive impact of creativity on brain health.

VISUAL IDENTITY

Logo Design and Brand Exploration

At the start of the design process, I created three distinct Stylescapes to represent a visual direction for the brand and new website. We experimented with color, typography, shapes, texture, and different tones of voice. Through review sessions, we determined that NAAF’s brand should be playful, yet authoritative and trustworthy. The final (fourth) Stylescape became a mashup of the three concepts, with NAAF’s signature blue/green color, accents of yellow and navy blue, playful circular shapes and patterns, and informational UI elements.
